lately,
It’s been kind-of-like going for a drive knowing you want to end up somewhere really awesome, but your just not sure how to get there. Honestly, it turns into sort of a journey with all kinds of things that can happen along the way. Each thing points you in a different direction that determine what you do next. Soon enough, you find yourself in a place completely unexpected and realize that everything that happened along the way put you in this new place. If it hadn't happened exactly that way, there's no telling where you would have ended up.
That’s exactly what it has been like here at Meshables. So what does all this journey stuff mean?
Essentially, it’s the unknown journey that has brought us to what we have today. A very simple, clean and clear place for you to let your creativity take the wheel, make something great, and share it with all your friends and family. We’re helping you stay connected with your friends (or your audience) offline, since large social networking giants have captivated your mind online.
This interconnection must be shaped and collaborated by the masses. This is the very reason we encourage you to share your thoughts with and help us build a better social world, IRL, or shall we say, In Real Life.
previously,
Things were different. Meshables started out as a 10th grade t-shirt selling experiment in which our friends at school would buy shirts from us that said “Feeling Lucky?” and had a cool looking logo on the front. $15. After racking up a suprisingly large amount of cash, about a grand... it was spent efficiently on chinese food and candy.
More importantly, it fueled the fire for what was yet to come. [Think journey-drive.]
Once a success was under the belt, though a small one, it sparked interest in many other things. A simple thought was set in stone, “Start a company”. With this in mind, things continued by starting a design service and website-making-kind-of-thing. Advertising was sparse. The company actually grew one job at a time, eventually becoming a respectable graphic design/web development firm. The office had a great 70's couch and a mini-fridge.
Eventually, other ideas starting coming about and the company went in many different directions. Magazine pre-press, Industrial Concrete Cleaning, Maid service, Hourly Office Renting, Promotion Consulting, and tons of other ideas.
We have meshed an unforgettable, difficult, yet fun journey to form Meshables.com!
